Through Arthurs Seat Thomas McNeill playing off a reduced handicap of two was setting the early pace with a birdie and two pars. William Kennedy (10) was close up a point behind. Maurice McDowell (8) opened with two pars but a 'ding' at Arthurs Seat set him back another point along with Michael McAuley (5). Over Beechers a new leader emerged after a bogey and two pars from Kennedy gave him a one point advantage over McNeill (bogey, par, birdie). McDowell (bogey, par, bogey) was another two points behind with McAuley (two pars and a bogey) a further point back. A late effort from McDowell (birdie and two pars) just failed to catch Kennedy who finished with two bogeys and a birdie to win by one point. A further point behind came McNeill (birdie and two pars) and McAuley (birdie and two pars) and with a better last six third place went to McAuley with McNeill finishing fourth.
Patrick Dallat (-3) won the Gross with 24 gr/pts.

After the first three holes Trevor Galloway (9) had opened a two point advantage over Brian Telford (8), James McKay (5) and David Gault (2). Approaching The Treasury Galloway, after a bogey, par and a birdie) was holding on to his two point advantage over Telford (two bogeys and a par), McKay (double bogey, birdie, bogey) and Gault (three pars). In a close finish Galloway parred The Treasury, bogeyed the Sanctuary and finished with a par to hold on to win by one point from Telford with two pars and a birdie and McKay (birdie, par, birdie). Second place went to Telford with a better last two and McKay came third. Gault with two pars and an eagle three at the last was another point behind and won the Gross with 21gr/pts.
