Golfers had to overcome a wet , showery day this week.

Brian Watt, playing off nine, opened with a birdie at The Fort and followed with a birdie and a par to take a one point lead at Arthurs Seat over Andrew Robinson (9) and Mark Dunlop (2). William Rainey (10), Laurence Darragh (7) and Jordan Kirk (9) were a further one, two and three pponts respectively behind. On reaching Beechers, Rainey after two pars and a birdie, was the new leader by two points from Watt (double bogey and two pars) and Robinson (double bogey, birdie, par). Dunlop (three pars) was another point behind. Darragh (three pars) was a further point back. Kirk (bogey and two pars) was still in cintention another point away. In a very close finish Robinson parred the Grove bogeys) and Watt (par and two bogeys). Second place went to Rainey with a better last six with Watt third. Two points futher behind there was a very competitive finish between Dunlop (par, bogey, birdie), Darragh (two bogeys and a par) and Kirk (two bogeys and a birdie) who finished together. Fourth place with a better last six was taken by Kirk. 

Jamie Sutherland (-2) won the Gross with 19 gr/pts.

Twos were recorded by – C.Dean, T.McNeill, A.Robinson, M.Reid and S.Johnston.

 

Front 9

Keith Dinsmore (7) and John McCarley (9) were vying for the lead through the Trout Hole a pointr ahead of Kevin Devlin (10). William McKigney (10) was another two points behind after failing to register at the opening hole. Dinsmore (bogeyed The Niuc, parred Walkers Home and bogeyed Broadmeadows) and McCarley (bogey, par, bogey) were still level at Broadmeadows and were joined by Devlin (two pars and a double bogey). McKigney (three bogeys) was a further three points behind with three holes to play. There was a very close and exciting finish ahead as the four players finished together. Dinsmore (par, bogey, par), McCarley (par and two bogeys) and Devlin (par and two bogeys) were joined by a late rally from an improved McKigney with two pars and a birdie at Longlands. First place went to KcKigney withy a better last six; Devlin came second with a better last six and Dinsmore with a better last six came third. 

 

Winter League 

After Week 4 The top three teams maintained their same positions as the previous week with the exception of third place where Team 1 (Lillyvale) were joined by Team 5 (Walkers) in joint third place. Team 2 (Spences) increased their lead over Team 3 (Trouts) from 6 points to 21 points with Teams 1 (Lillyvale) and 5(Walkers) a further 3 points behind with two weeks remaining.
