Division 1

Through the Front 9 Malachy Wylie (4) had a one point advantage over Tony Carroll (9) and George Small (0) ('ding' at Walkers Home. Josh Nicholl (-1) was another three points behind. Approaching the |Devils Elbow Wylie had increased his lead to four points over Carroll. Small was another point behind.and Nicholl was a further point back. Wylie, parred the Devils Elbow, bogeyed Beechers and parred the Grove and held a three point advantage over Carroll (two pars and a bogey at the Grove). Small (par, bogey, par) and Nicholl (three pars) were a further one and two points respectively behind. Wylie, after a par at the Lowlands, was still leading by three points with one to play. However a 'ding' at Shirleys Cottage allowed Carroll with a par to draw level and with a better back nine First place went to Carroll. A point behind Small (par, bogey) (better last three) finished in third place. Nicholl (par, birdie) another point behind won the Gross with 36 Gr.pts.

Division 2

After the Front 9 Alastair Murray (13) was leading by two points from Michael Alexander (10). Mark Hamilton (12) and Steven Carmichael (12) were another point behind. Through The Maple Hamilton drew level with Murray two points clear of Alexander. Carmichael ('ding' at Arthurs Seat) was another two points behind. Over Beechers Hamilton (bogeys at Devils Elbow and Beechers) was one point ahead of Murray ('ding' , bogey). Alexander (two bogeys) was a further two points back with Carmichael (two bogeys) close up a point behind. Hamilton parred the Grove, double bogeyed at Lowlands and finished with a par to WIN by one point from Murray (two bogeys and a par). Carmichael (birdie, bogey, par at Shirleys Cottage) came third another two points behind. Alexander (par, double bogey, par) finished a point behind the placings.

 

Division 3

Approaching The Fort Daryll Robinson (15) and David Currie (15) were vying for the lead but under strong pressure from Victor Orr (18) and Graham Simms (16) a point behind. Craig Dean (17) ('ding' at the Trout Hole) was two further points behind. At the Devils Elbow Robinson was joined in the lead by Dean. Orr ('ding' at The Maple) was a point behind. Another point further back came Currie ('ding' at The Maple) and Simms. Orr, after a par at the Devils Elbow and bogeys at Beechers and the Grove, joined Robinson (par, bogey, double bogey) in the lead by a point from Dean (bogey, double bogey, bogey) and Simms (bogey, par, bogey). Currie (double bogey at Devils Elbow followed by a bogey at Beechers and a double bogey up the Grove), was a further three points behind. In a close finish Dean with a bogey down the Lowlands and a par at Shirleys Cottage and Orr (two bogeys) finished together a point ahead of Robinson (double bogey, bogey) and Simms (two bogeys). Dean with a better back nine Won the OVERALL RUNNER-UP placing. Orr Won Division 3. Robinson came second and Simms Won the Seniors with 39 Pts. Two points further back came Currie (double bogey, birdie) to take third place in the Division.

 

Division 4

At the start of the Back 9 Michael Adams (19) had a slender one point advantage from Calvin Galbraith (19) with William McKigney (23) another point behind. William Rainey (21) was another five points behind. Adams increased his lead through The Maple to three points over Galbraith ('ding' at Piat) and McKigney. Rainey had improved and was only another point down. Adams (par at the Devils Elbow and bogeys at Beechers and the Grove) continued to lead two points ahead of McKigney (par at the Devils Elbow followedwo bogeys). Galbraith (double bogey, bogey, double bogey) was four points further back and Rainey (bogey, 'ding' at Beechers, bogey) was another point behind. Adams finished with a par down Lowlands and a double bogey at Shirleys Cottage to WIN OVERALL. There was a very close finish for the Division places. Galbraith (par, bogey) finished five points behind Adams and Won the Division by a point from Rainey (bogey, par) and McKigney who hit bogey trouble and failed to score. Second place went to Rainey with a better back nine and McKigney third.
