The Country Garage were the sponsors of the Stableford Competition played at Galgorm Castle Golf Club. The Competition was won by Andrew Nicholl playing off a handicap of twenty three by two points from fourteen handicapper Matthew Laverty.

Division 1

At halfway Mark Dunlop (7) was being hard pressed by Daniel Reilly (4) a point behind. Colin Steele (7) ('ding' at Trout Hole) and Cameron Lappin (5) were another point behind. Through The Maple there was a threeway tie with Steele and Riley joining Dunlop in the lead with Lappin four points behind., Approaching the Lowlands Dunlop after pars at the Devils Elbow, Beechers and the Grove had opened up a two point advantage over Steele ('ding' at Devils Elbow followed by two pars). Reilly, bogey at Devils Elbow, par at Beechers and a bogey up the Grove, was another point behind with an improving Lappin (three pars) a further point back. Dunlop held on to his two point advantage with a par at Lowlands and a bogey at Shirleys Cottage to WIN Division 1. Steele came second after a par, bogey finish. Daniel Reilly (two pars) and Lappin (birdie down Lowlands and a par at Shirleys Cottage finished together and with a better back nine third place went to Lappin.

Liam Reilly (-1) won the Gross with 39 Gross Pts.

Division 2

Through the Front 9 Norman Nicholl playing off ten had a two point advantage over Andrew McCullough (11) and Danny McConaghie (11) ('ding' at Lillyvale). James Taylor (10) was another two points behind. Approaching the Devils Elbow Nicholl was still leading. McConaghie,Taylor and McCullough were two, three and four points respectively behind. Nicholl failed to score at the Devils Elbow, parred Beechers and the Grove where he was joined by McConaghie (bogey and two pars) and Taylor (pars at the Devils Elbow and Beechers followed by a birdie at the Grove). McCullough with a bogey at Devils Elbow, par at Beechers and a birdie at the Grove had closed to one point behind. An exciting finish lay ahead! Nicholl double bogeyed the Lowlands and birdied Shirleys Cottage and Taylor (bogey, par) finished together with a first place going to Taylor with a better back nine. A point behind came McConaghie (double bogey, par) and McCullough (birdie, double bogey). Third place went to McCullough with a better last six.

Michael Alexander (@11) won the Seniors with 37 Pts (BB9).

Division 3

Approaching The Fort Samuel Campbell (16) and Tony Quinn (18) were vying for the lead a point ahead of Matthew Laverty (14). Alastair Murray (14) was another two points back with Aaron Pattison (16) ('ding' at Longlands) a further four points behind. At the Devils Elbow Campbell was leading by a point but being hard pressed by Laverty and Quinn. Murray ('ding' at Piat) was three more points down and Pattison a further point behind. Laverty after pars at Devils Elbow, Beechers and the Grove was the new leader by a point from Campbell (three bogeys) and Quinn (two pars and a double bogey up the Grove). Pattison (bogey at the Devils Elbow and pars at Beechers and the Grove) and Murray (par and two bogeys) were a further three and four points respectively back. Laverty held on to his one point advantage with a par, bogey finish to take the OVERALL RUNNER-UP PLACING. Campbell with a bogey at the Lowlands and a par at Shirleys Cottage was a point behind and WON Division 3. Second place went to Quinn with a par, double bogey finish another point back and four points further behind Pattison (bogey at Lowlands and a double bogey at Shirleys Cottage and Murray (two bogeys) came in together. Third place went to Pattison with a better back nine.

Division 4

At the start of the Back 9 Andrew Nicholl (23) .('ding.' at The Niuc) had a comfortable looking lead of three points over Mervyn Lamont (27) ('ding' at Broadmeadows). Keith Wylie (22) was another point behind and Ian Henry (19) ('ding' at The Treasury) a further point away. At The Maple Nicholl ('ding' at Piat) had increased his lead to four points over Lamont. Wylie was another two points behind and Henry a further point back. Over Beechers Nicholl ( 'ding' at Devils Elbow, birdie at Beechers)) was five points ahead of Wylie (bogey, par). Lamont (bogey, at Devils Elbow, 'ding' at Beechers) and Henry (bogey, par) were another point behind. Nicholl continued to lead and finished with bogeys at the Grove and Lowlands and a 'ding' at Shirleys Cottage to WIN OVERALL. Four points behind came Lamont (double bogey, par, triple bogey) to WIN Division 4 by a point from Wylie (two bogeys and a 'ding' at Shirleys Cottage). A further point down Henry finished third (better back nine) with bogeys at the Grove and Lowlands and a double bogey at Shirleys Cottage.
