Back 9 (main competition) Division 1

At the Devils Elbow Stephen Logan playing off a handicap of three was setting the early pace three under par. He was being hard pressed a point behind by Adrian Smyth (3) and PaulCampbell (0). James Mairs (3) and Josh Nicholl (-3) were another point behind. A new leader emerged through the Grove when Smyth after a birdie at the Devils |Elbow followed by pars at Beechers and the Grove was leading by a point from Logan (par,bogey, par) and Campbell (par, birdie, par). Mairs (three pars) was another point behind with Nicholl (three pars) a further two points back. Smyth finished with a par and a birdie and held on to Win by a point from Logan (par at Lowlands and a birdie at Shirleys Cottage). Campbell (bogey at Lowlands and a birdie at Shirleys Cottage), Mairs (par at Lowlands and a birdie)and a par from Nicholl at Lowlands and an eagle three at Shirleys Cottage) finished together another point behind. Mairs came third and Nicholl won the Back 9 Gross with 23 pts. 

 

Back 9 (main competition) Division 2

Approaching the Devils Elbow five handicapper William Rainey was holding a two point advante over Jon-Paul Kiearney (8) ('dings' at 'The Fort' and 'Arthurs Seat') and Jim Wilson (5). Ashley Doole (8) ('ding at Arthurs Seat) and Darryl Robinson (4) were another point behind. After a strong run by Doole of par at Devils Elbow followed by birdies over Beechers and at the Grove was the new leader by a point from Rainey (three pars). Kearney (bogey at Devils Elbow and pars at Beechers and the Grove) was another point behind. Two points further back came Robinson (pars at Devils Elbow, Beechers and the Grove) with McClintock (birdie, par, double bogey) another point down. Doole failed to score at Lowlands but an albatross at Shirleys Cottrage enabled him to hold fiam to win by two points from Rainey (par at Lowlwnds and a bogey at Shirleys Cottage). Robinson parred the Lowlands and completed his round with an eagle three, Kearney ('ding', eagle three), John McClintock (par, eagle three) and Wilson (bogey, eagle Three) fini9shed together another point behind. Third place went to Robinson with a better last three. 

 

Front 9

Down Broadmeadows Philip Magill (5) held a slender one point advantage over Rod Lennox (2), Lyle Foster (5) and Richard Lennox (6) ('ding' at Spences). Tony Dodds (7) was another point behind followed by Paul Hugthes (4) ('ding' at The Niuc) and Jonathan McNeill (-2) who were a further point down. Magill parred Broadmeadows and The Treasury to continue to lead by one point from Foster (two pars) and Rod Lennox (two pars). Richard Lennox (bogey at Broadmeadows and a par at The Treasury) was another point behind. Dodds (bogey, par) was a further point down. Hughes (par, bogey) and McNeill (par at Broadmeadows and a birdie at The Treasury) were a further one and two points respectively down. Magill held on to his lead with a bogey, par finish to win by one point from Rod Lennox (pars at the Sanctuary and Longlands) and Dodds (two pars). Second place was taken by Dodds with a better last six. Richard Lennox (double bogey, par), Foster (two bogeys), Hughes (birdie at the Sanctuary and a par at Longlands) and McNeill (birdies at the Sanctuary and Longlands finished together a point outside the placings.

Jonathan McNeill (-2) won the Front 9 Gross with 22 pts (BB6).
