Division 1

Through the Front 9 Josh Nicholl (-1) was leading by one shot from Daniel Reilly (3). Steven Penney (1) was another shot behind. Harris Fleming (3) and Tony Carroll (7) were a further two and nine shots respectively back. At The Maple Penney, after a birdie and three pars, was leading by a shot from Nicholl. Another point behind came Fleming followed by Reilly and Carroll a further one and eight shots down. Penney parred the Devils Elbow and Beechers and bogeyed the Grove and held on to his one shot advantage over Nicholl (two pars and a bogey at the Grove). Fleming (par, bogey at Beechers, par) was another shot5 behind with Reilly (par at Devils Elbow and bogeys at Beechers and the Grove) and Carroll (pars at Devils Elbow and Beechers and a bogey up the Grove) trying hard to close the gap. In a very close and exciting finish Penney returned with a bogey at Lowlands and a par at Shirleys Cottage for a 71Nett and was joined by Daniel Reilly (birdie, par) with a 71Nett and with a better back nine Penney WON Division 1. Third place was taken by Fleming who finished with two bogeys for a 72Nett. Carroll (eagle three at Lowlands and a par at Shirleys Cottage) and Nicholl (two pars) finished together with a 73Nett.

Division 2

At halfway Nathan Scullion (11) was holding a three shot advantage over Alastair Murray (12). Darryl Robinson (15) was another shot behind and James Mairs (15) a further four shots back. Approaching the Devils Elbow Murray had closed to within one shot of Scullion. Robinson and Mairs were4 another three shots behind. Up the Grove Scullion, in the lead after a triple bogey at the Devils Elbow, a bogey at Beechers and a par at the Grove was joined in the lead by Murray (bogey at Devils Elbow followed by two bogeys) two shots ahead of Robinson (par at Devils Elbow and two bogeys. Mairs (double bogey, par at Beechers, bogey) was a further shot away. Robinson finished with a bogey at Lowlands and a par at Shirleys Cottage to WIN Division 2 with a 70Nett. Murray (par at Lowlands, double bogey at Shirleys Cottage) and Scullion (par, bogey) finished two shots behind for a 72Nett and with a better back nine second place went to Murray with Scullion third. Mairs (par, triple bogey at Shirleys Cottage) finished with a 73Nett just outside the placings.

Division3

At The Fort Graham Simms (17) was one shot ahead of Gavin Galbraith (18). James McClintock (17) and Jim Wilson (19) were another shot behind. A further four shots back came Alan Knox (20) and Alan Proctor (16). Through The Maple Galbraith was the new leader by two shots from Wilson with Simms and McClintock close up another shot behind. Proctor and Knox were a further three and five shots respectively back. Galbraith double bogeyed Devils Elbow, parred Beechers and the Grove and increased his lead to three shots over Wilson (par, double bogey at Beechers and a bogey) and Simms (@bogey, double bogey at Beechers and a bogey). :McClintock (double bogey at Devils Elbow followed by two bogeys), Proctor (double bogey at Devils Elbow and pars at Beechers and the Grove) and Knox (two pars and a bogey) were two, three and four shots further behind. Wilson parred the Lowlands and bogeyed Shirleys Cottage and Galbraith (parred the Lowlands and triple bogeyed Shirleys Cottage) finished together with a 69Nett and the OVERALL WINNER was Wilson with a bettet back nine with the RUNNUR UP placing going to Galbraith. Simms returned with a par at Lowlands and a bogey at Shirleys Cottage to WIN Division 3 with a 71Nett. James McClintock with a bogey, par finish for a 73Nett came second and Knox (bogey, double bogey) was third with a 74Nett. Proctor (par, bogey) finished just outside the placings with a 75Nett.

 

Subsidiary Stableford

At halfway in the Subsidiary Stableford Competition Peter O'Loughlin (22) ('ding' at Walkers Home) and John McFarland ( 26) were vying for the lead two points ahead of Matthew Nelson (28) ('ding' at The Treasury). Jonathanj Larmour (24) ('dings' at the Sanctuary and Longlands) was another point behind. Approaching the Devils Elbow O'Loughlin was leading by two points from an improving Larmour and Nelson with McFarland another point behind. O'Loughlin double bogeyed at Devils Elbow, birdied Beechers and parred the Grove to hold his two point advantage over Larmour (par at Devils Elbow, double bogeys at Beechers and the Grove). McFarland (bogeys at Devils Elbow and Beechers and a double bogey up the Grove) was another point behind. Nelson ('ding' at Devils Elbow, bogey at Beechers and a double bogey at the Grove) was a further two points down. O'Loughlin finished bogey, 'ding' to WIN by one point from Larmour (double bogey, bogey). Third place went to McFarland (par, 'ding') another point behind. Nelson (double bogey, 'ding') was two points behind the placings.
